Website Cookies and Advertising

If you accept cookies on scottishdancing.app, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Ads to measure which of our adverts lead people to download the app. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit and buttons you press, such as the App Store and Google Play links. Those links carry a campaign label (for example the page section you clicked, or the advert that brought you here) so Apple and Google can tell us which campaigns lead to downloads; this label does not identify you.

Before you choose, Google's tag still loads but runs in a restricted mode: it may receive limited, cookie-free signals, such as that a page was viewed or a store link was tapped, along with technical details like your IP address and browser, and may add the advert reference to page addresses. It stores no cookies or identifiers on your device and these signals are not used for personalised advertising.

No cookies are set unless you accept. What we see is a count of clicks and the campaign each came from, never names, email addresses or profiles, and we do not use this data for personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Separately, we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across websites or identify you, so it does not depend on your cookie choice.
